CUCEA & CUCRA Meetings

Meeting LOCATIONS

The Spring 2023 CUCEA meeting will be hosted via Zoom by UC Santa Barbara on April 26-27.

​Past and future meeting dates and hosts are recorded here. 

​2009-2022 meeting dates and locations:
  • FALL 2022 CUCEA and CUCEA-CUCRA meetings were hosted via Zoom by UC Berkeley on October 26. SPRING 2022 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted via Zoom by UCI on April 27-28.
  • FALL 2021 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted via Zoom by UCSF on October 27-28. SPRING 2021 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted by UCLA on April 28-29.
  • FALL 2020 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted via Zoom by UCSC on October 28-29. SPRING 2020 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted via Zoom by UCSB on April 29-30.
  • FALL 2019 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted by UCD on October 30-31. SPRING 2019 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted by UCSD.
  • FALL 2018 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted by UCB. The meeting was held on October 24 and 25 at the Double Tree Hotel, Berkeley Marina. SPRING 2018 CUCEA-CUCRA MEETING was hosted by UCR on April 25-26 at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa, Riverside, CA.
  • FALL 2017 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted by UCSF and the UC Office of the President. The meetings were held at the Hilton Oakland Airport hotel on October 25-26. 
  • FALL 2016 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted by UC Santa Cruz on October 26-27. A Powerpoint presentation by OP representatives on health and welfare benefits can be viewed here. A photo of a festive dinner for CUCEA and CUCRA members in the UCSC Hay Barn can be viewed in the gallery below. SPRING 2016 CUCEA-CUCRA was hosted by UCLA on Monday April 25 -Tuesday April 26. 
  • FALL 2015 CUCEA-CUCRA was held on the UCD campus, October 28-29.
  • FALL 2014 CUCEA was hosted by UCB October 22 and 23. The joint CUCEA/CUCRA meeting was scheduled for the morning of October 23, and the separate CUCRA and CUCEA meetings for the afternoons of October 22 and 23, respectively. ​SPRING 2014 was held at UCSB. The CUCEA meeting took place on April 30, and the joint CUCEA/CUCRA meeting on May 1. 
  • FALL 2013 was hosted by UCSF, November 4-5. The joint meeting with CUCRA was November 5. SPRING 2013 meeting was hosted by UCR, April 23-24. There was a joint meeting with CUCRA. 
  • FALL 2012 was hosted by UCSC on October 31- November 1. The joint meeting of CUCEA and CUCRA was held on Thursday morning, November 1; CUCEA met separately following lunch. CUCRA met separately on Wednesday afternoon, October 31. Meeting highlights included a tour of the newly remodeled and expanded UCSC McHenry Library and a visit to Dead Central—archive of the Grateful Dead. SPRING 2012 was hosted by UCI on April 25-26. Highlights included a visit to the Beall Center for Art. 
  • FALL 2011 was held at UCD on Thursday afternoon October 27. A joint meeting of the Emeriti and Retiree Councils (CUCEA and CUCRA) was held on Thursday, October 27. SPRING 2011 was held at UCLA on April 27; a joint CUCEA/CUCRA meeting was held on April 28. 
  • FALL 2010 meeting of CUCEA was hosted by UCB on Thursday, October 28. It was also a joint meeting with the Retirement Association, CUCRA. We were greeted in splendor by the CAL Band (photo below). The SPRING meeting of CUCEA was held at the UCSB campus on Wednesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 29 in the new Mosier Alumni House. 
  • FALL 2009 was held on Thursday, October 29 at the UCSF, Parnassus campus. The SPRING meeting was held on Thursday, April 30 at UCSD. It was a joint meeting with CUCRA.
